Our Story

Boston Brew is a speciality coffee shop born in the heart of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, with a passion for exceptional coffee, genuine hospitality and creating memorable experiences.

Our name was inspired by the owners' love for dogs, particularly the Boston Terrier — a breed known for its playful personality, people-loving nature and easy-going charm. These characteristics have become part of the Boston Brew philosophy, creating a welcoming space where everyone feels at home.

Our journey began on the balcony of an iconic heritage house in Morningside, Durban, offering a hidden escape from the hustle and bustle of Florida Road. What started as a charming neighbourhood coffee spot has since evolved into a growing brand, built on the support of our loyal customers and the community around us.

As Boston Brew has grown, so has our vision. We have proudly moved our flagship café to a new, larger location, creating an inviting space where customers can enjoy great coffee, delicious food and meaningful moments. While our flagship has found a new home, our original location continues to be part of our story through Boston Brew Xpress — a convenient grab-and-go concept for those who want their favourite coffee on the move.
